"The rugged, untamed nature of the hills was my inspiration. I attempted to capture the colors of the dry season and the mood of the brooding land. Around the middle of the day a stillness pervades the scene when everything seems to stop, except for a pair of wedgetail eagles soaring on high, all conquering and majestic. A peaceful scene to paint."
