| These days only a very
few Marlin are brought in for weighing and this is reserved for likely record
fish and the occasional 1000lb (455kg) Black Marlin. All the rest are carefully
handled, tagged, and released. This is the first Marlin brought into Cooktown
in the last 13 years, and it was a sad sight. Most Marlin boat skippers
